3 Tips on Setting And Achieving Your Goals!

Goal setting is the process of developing and writing down things that are important for you to achieve, and then giving them a timeframe. When setting your goals, there are a few things to keep in mind if you are really serious about bringing your goals to fruition.

Tip #1 - Imagine It!

The first step to successful goal setting is to imagine what it is that you want. It helps if you write down 50 things that you want, 50 things that you want to do and 50 things that describe who you want to be. This gives us some clarity as to what we really want with our lives and where we are heading. Don't forget to set a timeframe for each goal.

Tip #2 - Write It Clearly

Write down your picture perfect reality of each different section of your life. This means write a statement that describes you having achieved everything you want in one particular area of your life e.g. health and fitness. Remember to write in the present tense, use visual language, set a time and date and create a scene that you can truly imagine in your life.

Tip #3 - Break It Down

Your goals need to be broken down into 'sections'. So to do this, define your major goal first with a timeframe of around 1 year to 10 years +. This is the final state of your goals achievement. Then you need to set some clean, managable scope goals (timeframe of 1 - 6 months +) to help get a sense of how you are going to achieve your major goal. Finally your bridging goals allow you to bridge the gap between your scope goals and your central (major) goals. Bridging goals should just be a list of tasks you need to do to achieve a scope goal.

Simple as that. Just put in the time to set your goals and give your life the direction it deserves!
